Peter Ryan

 

Peter Ryan served in the army in World War II, when he was engaged in intelligence work behind enemy lines in New Guinea. He was the Director of Melbourne University Press from 1962 to 1989, and now works for the Board of Examiners of the Victorian Supreme Court.

Fear Drive My Feet is his account of his time in wartime New Guinea.

In October 2004, Duffy & Snellgrove will publish his collection of short biographies, Brief Lives.
