Alison Alexander

Dr Alison Alexander is President of the Tasmanian Historical Research Association and author of several books, including a biography of Mary Grant Bruce, who wrote the 'Billabong' books, and Obliged to Submit, about the wives and mistresses of the Van Dieman's Land governors.

Her book Wealth of Women, is a popular history of Australian women's lives from 1788 to today.
