Cathy Cole

 

 

Writer and author Cathy Cole received widespread critical acclaim for her first crime novel, Dry Dock, which introduces the sassy PI, Nicola Sharpe, and was short listed for the Ned Kelly Award. Her next book, Skindeep, continues this series and has also been shortlisted for a Ned Kelly Award. A lecturer (creative writing and politics) at the University of Technology and Sydney College of the Arts, Cathy Cole has just been awarded two major writing fellowships in Vietnam and Paris (later this year) for a literary work based on a French family in Hanoi.

As well as her published works of short stories and poetry, Cathy is a regular speaker and contributor to literary events, radio and workshops. She has had over ten years work experience in training and EEO in government and education.

She currently lives in Balmain and spent six years in Melbourne where she started writing her first novel Dry Dock.
